Book Drive for Euless Public Library
Bring adult, children, or audio books to donate to the
Euless Public Library.
Books will be used at the Bi-Annual Book Sale on Saturday, October 4th, from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Euless Library. Every purchase supports the Euless Public Library Foundation, which provides programs, resources, and a love for reading in the community.
Dyslexia Awareness Week - Go Red for Dyslexia
The national "Go Red for Dyslexia" campaign encourages people to wear red, light buildings in red, and promote positive conversations about dyslexia during October.
Post a photo on social media during the week of October 6-12 wearing red with the hashtag #piphifordyslexiaday. Or send a photo to Jennifer Dobbs (940-390-3435) to post on Pi Phi social media.
DFW Literacy Symposium - The Commons, UTA Campus
Join our VP Philanthropy, Romy Skaper, at The DFW Literacy Symposium focused on adult literacy and local needs in our region. The Symposium will provide free professional development and networking for volunteers of nonprofit, community-based adult and family literacy programs.

Farmhouse Fresh Animal Sanctuary
Non-profit farm animal sanctuary in McKinney that rescues, rehabilitates, and provides a safe home for neglected farm animals. Funded by FarmHouse Fresh Skincare purchases and located adjacent to the FarmHouse Fresh skincare headquarters.
Spend your morning providing service for the animal living quarters, with projects such as cleaning stalls and manure in pastures, dusting fans, and cleaning water buckets. The last 30 minutes will be spent petting and brushing the animals. Bring work gloves and dress in layers.

Feed My Starving Children Food Packaging
Volunteer to hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags which are then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped to incredible partners who distribute the food to children who need it around the world.
As a Christian nonprofit organization, Feed My Starving Children is called to feed God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. You can impact hundreds of kids in just two hours, and experience what it’s like to make a tangible difference.
We are registered as a group, so you are not required to complete any volunteer forms.

Celebrate Pi Phi’s commitment to Literacy and honor Dr. Seuss with our book exchange and book donations.
Bring two books:
North Texas Teen Book Festival
Volunteer to assist with set-up and Author coordination at Irving Convention Center.
Wear the Pi Phi T-shirt of your choice for this event to encourage and/or inspire conversations from the young teens that are primarily females at this event.
Volunteer registration will be made available in the spring, and more details to follow on requirements for group or individual sign-ups.
